Day 2: Visit to the U.S.S. Lexington
Our hotel was within walking distance to the Lexington and the Aquarium, this was great because we needed the exercise after all that seafood we were eating!

Last day at the beach

There were thousands of jellyfish in the ocean...literally! By Sunday we figured out that they would not sting us, so we picked one up. Kate wanted to touch it...it was slimy!

Of course Robert wanted to hold it.
I just loved how bright Kate's eyes were out in the sun!
Robert and Blair loved waking up to see each other. Here they are first thing in the morning...in their 'jammies.

Now for some serious fishing...
Robert's first fish!
We made him kiss it!
This was the 4th and final fish. After dropping his fishing pole in the lake, we didn't know if he'd catch any more that day. But super dad saved the day and rescued the Spiderman fishing pole! Robert said he was the best daddy in the whole world and wanted him to have his medal from soccer. So he really did give it to him when we got home on Sunday! Very sweet.
We only brought 2 home. I think Rob was a little confused about their status. He still thinks that even though they are in the deep freeze that we can get a glass jar and put them in there as pets!

He sure did take them in a baggie within a baggie within a baggie to class at church this morning! I'm sure his teachers really appreciated that. Sorry! But he'll never forget his first catch...neither will his parents!

typical day at home

I think there is a picture of me about this age making the exact face that Robert is making in that top picture. So I can't blame all of Robert's silliness on Trey. Rob grabbed the camera today and took some "great" pictures. But the one with her silly face turned out pretty good!Robert was dressed up as a king today, but yesterday he was "carpet boy" and told me I was "tile girl" and I couldn't step on the carpet, nor could he step on the tile. Funny.
Lastly, Kate in a crate. Something every kid does at one point in her life...climb into a box of some sort.
Daddy's girl

Miss Kate-a-roo LOVES her daddy! She gets extremely excited when he comes home from work. As soon as the door opens, she begins her "dad-dy" chants and they grow louder and louder ending with some type of screech because he cannot pick her up fast enough. But once he's got her, her day is complete! She really has to hold on tight because the next event is a tackle hug from Robert. What a horrible thing to come home to, huh Trey?
